About SMCC
Stotfold Model Car Club provides a friendly atmosphere where like-minded people can enjoy a day or afternoon of racing 1/10th electric off-road buggies. The club meets every Sunday afternoon, and through the summer months on Wednesday evenings, weather permitting.

Our membership has increased over the years and we are now a prestigious club that is known across the country having hosted a round of the BRCA 1/10th Electric Off-Road National series multiple times.
History
A brief history of the club is summarised in the timeline below.
- Stotfold Model Car Club started as a 1/8th and 1/10th rally-cross club.
- The club moved to its current location and held a few 1/8th rally-cross nationals.
- Club members started to develop and upgrade the club to a high standard, including changing the track and maintaining the venue grounds. The club was involved in the Chiltern Challenge and then the BRCA Mid-South Regional series.
- The club created a larger permanent track, inlcuding an astroturf surface.
- Significant alterations were made to the track layout, including jumps and humps that have seen additional refinement over the years.
- The club held its first BRCA End of Season event in 2005, the success of which led to a repeat in 2006. This paved the way for the club's first BRCA 1/10th Electric Off-Road National event in 2007; becoming a near-permanet fixture on the calendar since then.
- The club replaced its race-control building and added a cover to the rostrum.
- The 40th anniversary of Stotfold Model Car Club being at its current site near Hinxworth.
